About
Southern Maryland Rush Wrestling Club, formerly known as Thomas Stone Wrestling Club, is a not for profit organization and has been in existence for over a decade.
We instruct young people, both female and male, ages 4 to 14 in the discipline of folkstyle wrestling and further seek to assist with the development of self-control, personal responsibility, dedication, commitment and sportsmanship. Our organization is committed to promoting and growing interest in the sport and providing a positive and fun learning environment for what is a challenging sport. One of the many tools we use to ensure this is utilizing the training and following recommendations of USA Wrestling and their Athlete Development Model.
We provide a seasonal program with participants who are often multi-sport athletes with varying wrestling experience levels and although we are not a year round program, we have the pleasure of having trained competitive wrestlers for many years and have a track record of doing so. Even though we do not provide a year round competition option we definitely can provide the groundwork for those considering to do so.
Our practices are held at Thomas Stone High School located in Waldorf, Charles County Maryland.
