To participate in the Southern Maryland Junior Wrestling League (SMJWL), wrestlers must meet the following requirements:
Age & Grade Requirement
Wrestlers must be between 4 and 14 years of age as of December 31 immediately preceding the wrestling season and must be in the eighth grade or below, or the equivalent educational level.
Joining a Member Club
Wrestlers must register through an SMJWL Member Club.

SMJWL proudly includes seven member clubs serving Southern Maryland and the District of Columbia, including Calvert, Charles, Prince George's, and St. Mary's counties. All member clubs are chartered and insured through USA Wrestling, the national governing body for wrestling in the United States.
